Green is good

Very good spring and summer for fruit and veg so far. I am struck by how much of a machine potato plants are. They throw up a huge plume of light 'hungry' leaves and go for broke, sending sugars down to the roots. It helps me keep faith in green issues to see the simplicity of this food generation process.
