Data, update

Ha, they sent me a big letter of apology - telling me they have put all my details on a CD and left it lying around," Sorry!" " That's OK.". No its not actually, but what can anyone do?

data

Just got home to hear the government have just lost a load of data bout me and my family. I cannot imagine why we bother to shred anything at home when it its just handed out on cd's. What's the point?
I am utterly against the idea of Identity Cards for all - it is not a deterrent to anyone. Organised criminals will be buying and selling my identity. I am simply very cross about it and don't feel I have any control over it. Keeping data securely is part of my business at work and we are careful with it.

Footy night

Astonishingly we (England) may still be able to qualify for Europe. We had done our best to throw it away. How much more joy there is in watching Scotland or Northern Ireland. I am truly excited bout the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow in 2012. Having relatives up there to stay with is so tasty. Sport is the thing. Being in a family of Celt boys, its fantastic to see the glee with which Scotland and Northern Ireland plan and celebrate with such passion. I am the only one who has to stick with England and it does not make me proud always. This is why cricket and rugby are making good headway these days. There is so much more to be proud of. So Northern Ireland beat Denmark, Scotland lose ONLY 1-2 to World Champions, Italy.

Tonight I have spent hours getting good sound clips for Jonny's radio piece. When we were at Peter Symonds, they have a radio station too. It is a real career option. what with podcasting now, people can have a voice.

Buzy day

Using Vixy last night got a laugh when they said their server was 'buzy'. Kinda cute. My new shoes were tolerably comfortable so thats good. Didnt really think the food was up to much at the conference today. Matt and Tim were tucking into a sandwich they had bought as there was not much left.

Really so utterly annoyed with Royal Mail. No word on Tom's birthday present - his birthday is tomorrow. They claim to be recovering from their strike still according to their web site. And what's more, at this level of service they will only tell you if your parcel has been signed for. What use is that. Either you have signed for it, in which case you know, or you didn't sign for it and then it has been knicked? Auugh!

'I'm a Celebrity' starts tonight and its a weak line up. Ant and Dec are utterly unscathed by their phone-line scandal. How did that happen?

Wildern TV on Monday

All prepared for Monday, but alarmingly saw Matt going home at about 6.00 Friday night when I was there picking up Jonny from skiing. That is so late. Should be something to look forward to. The best thing this week will be the kids getting their hands on the cameras. Filming starts this week and its gonna be good.

I judge the weather by our postie. He is still delivering - this morning my Kaiser Chief tickets - in shorts. It is not cold enough for winter yet. When I was a kid it was cold by now and you wore thick wooly tights to school.
